XIX JORNADAS DE VITICULTURA Y ENOLOGIA - Tierra de Barros. Almendralejo

1) The Organizing Commission of XIX the Days of Viticultura and Enología "Tierra de Barros" summons VIII the Prize JOSE LUIS MESíAS IGLESIAS of Investigation on Viticultura and Enología with the intention to honor the memory and scientific recognition in these fields of that its creator and permanent secretary until its death.

2) The subjects object of the Prize at issue are all those related to analyzed Viticultura and Enología from all the points of view that are object of the communications presented/displayed in the different sessions from the Days of Viticultura and Enología "Tierra de Barros": scientist-technical, analytical, biological, historical, linguistic, geographic, economic, folkloric, artistic aspects and pedagogical-dida'ctivos.

3) The Works that could be object of east VIII Prize JOSE LUIS MESIAS IGLESIAS are all those that appear in the sessions of XIX the Days of Viticultura and Enología "Tierra de Barros", that will be celebrated between days 5 to the 9 of May of 1.997. The work will be unpublished. One will value of special way the new development of the subject, the treatment of the same one, the conclusions and the utility of his contributions.

4) For the concession of the Prize, the Organizing Commission will make one first selection of the presented/displayed communications. In one second phase, well-known personalities of the scientific world related to these subjects, will choose the deserving communication to this VIII Prize.

5) In order to obtain prize it will be the indispensable and necessary condition that their authors have presented/displayed it and defended in the course of the sessions that will take place during the development of XIX the Days of Viticultura and Enología "Tierra de Barros".

6) The title of the winning work and his autor/es will become public next to the winners of the other aids and contests that the Organizing Commission of XIX the Days of Viticultura and Enología "Tierra de Barros" carry out in the occasion of the celebration of the same ones.

7) The prize, consisting of an allusive to the grapevine or wine and valued reason in 150.000 pts., sponsored by Small farm loan bank of Almendralejo, will take shelter the day of the Closing of XX the Days of Viticultura and Enología "Tierra de Barros" that will be celebrated in the first week of May of 1.988.

8) The failure of the examining jury will be, in any case and under any circumstance, unquestionable.
